Women’s Opportunity
Award:
Financial assistance to low-income women seeking training to re-enter
the work force.
Violet Richardson Award: A recognition program for young women between the ages of 14-17 who are engaged in volunteer action within their communities or schools. An award is given to the young woman chosen as the winner and a donation award is given to the organization that she volunteers with. The winner's name is then sent on to compete for the Region award. The Region winner is then submitted in a competition for the Federation level award.
Soroptimist Making a Difference for Women Award: This recognition program consists of three parts observed at the club, region and federation levels. This award honors women who are making extraordinary differences in the lives of other women. The Region submits a winner from the submissions by sent in by the clubs to Soroptimist International of the Americas Federation.
